a11what is the project about? Patients who have had paralytic attack have their whole or partial bodies disabled. These paralytic patients can neither speak nor express their demands or wishes. They do not have any brain activity and in such situations, this proposed project comes to the rescue. The patients can communicate by displaying the message on the LCD screen by simple motion of their functioning body parts. The peculiar aspect of this device is that if no one is nearby the patient can send the message as a SMS to their family members or their caretaker through GSM mechanism.   How the project works? This system works on the direction of the tilt of the patient’s part. For instance, if the patient’s hand is attached to the system, then the tilting of the hand conveys the message. The patient will have to tilt the part of his body in a angle to convey the message. An accelerometer is present which detects the motion. This then transfers the signal to the microcontroller which displays the message as per the input given by the patient. The final output message can be viewed in the LCD screen. This screen is attached to a buzzer which buzzes once the message has been delivered onto the output panel. If there are no attenders nearby then the patient can send the message through SMS by tilting the device a little more using a GSM modem that has been registered on the system.
