what is the project?

Lifeguard is a must in most beaches. But due to the negligence of the lifeguard, lives are lost all over the world. To help the lifeguards to save lives, an Anti drowning system with remote alert system has been proposed. This system works by sensing the heartbeat of the person which will be transmitted using RF waves within a radius of 5-6 meters and 2-4 meters if underwater.

How it works?

This system has a receiving and transmitting circuit. The transmitter is attached to the person in the water while the receiving circuit is with the lifeguard. The transmitter works with the help of an AVR microcontroller. This circuit has and LCD screen at the receiving end to display the heart rate of the person. This whole system is powered by a 12V battery on both the ends. The circuitry on the transmitter and the receiving end remains the same but Rf receiver is present with the lifeguard. The sensors are attached on the body of the person in water to detect the heart rate. An LED and a buzzer is present on the receiving end which will go ON when the heart rate goes high or low. Thus this proposed system helps to save lives of people from drowning.
